Two Ice Towers!

November 21st, 2005 rob 1 comment

I believe I posted last year’s ice tower creation in Alaska. This year they’re out doing themselves with two ice towers on top of a hill. Pretty sweet in my opinion, but what does that count for these days. Anywho, should be interesting to see how big they can make them this year, last year they topped out around 157 feet I believe. You can follow the progress on a daily basis like a I do, this doesn’t have an affect on your coolness though.

Big Beats from a Lil Lady

I have pushed my shameless promotions for BBC Radio 1 on many of you at one time or another. Though if it has been awhile you have to get your ears over to the radio 1 website and listen to Annie Mac’s radio show. For those of you who are at a computer all day and are able to get real player streams you must be checking this out. Not only does she spin nasty beats and have a cute Dublin accent but my productivity goes up about 40% when listening to her show (that is when I’m not blogging about it). Keep it true, keep it wicked.

First crate tomorrow!

So here in Boston we have this cool service that started up a couple of years ago. Boston Organics delivers organic vegtables to your home on a weekly basis, with the goal of promoting organic locally grown fruits and vegtables. You sign up for either a 25 or 35 dollar box of food, and they drop it off on Fridays (or whatever your day of the week happens to be). Each week is different depending on whats in season, and if you want the’re bonded so they can put your food inside for you. Since everything is in season generally, its about as expensive as the grocery store. Check it out; the website has a listing of whats in this weeks basket. http://www.bostonorganics.com/
