Well, this is a strange post (in that the information will be in the comments). Audience participation is required for this one. Let’s see if we can come up with an ideal government. This is basically a thought experiment or exercise or whatever you want to call it.
I think America, in terms of its gov’t, has alot of things right, but it certainly could be improved. Let’s see if we can build a good model of an ideal government where society just works right. So leave comments regarding either entirely new models, or changes to our current one.
Probably an impossible target in theory, since I’ve never seen a utopia, but why not try? I think this is fun.

I wish I had a shirt to test this on. It’s not in English, and only about 15 seconds long, but my god! This is incredible! I thought I had a fairly good shirt-folding method, and as it turns out (unbelievably…), I was wrong. Never again will I be wrong! (at least when it comes to folding shirts)
Leo Strauss was a German Jewish political philosopher whose views were elitist, amoral and hostile to representative democratic government. He arrived in the US in 1938 and taught at several major universities before his death in 1973. Like Plato, Strauss taught that within societies, “some are fit to lead, and others to be led.” But, unlike Plato, who believed that leaders had to be people with such high moral standards that they could resist the temptations of power, Strauss thought that “those who are fit to rule are those who realize there is no morality and that there is only one natural right, the right of the superior to rule over the inferior.”
This article isn’t nearly as entertaining as the title made it sound, but its still an interesting read about free speech rights and public schools. I’m sure once this article gets out there will be some sort of website someone comes up with. Perhaps I’ll go google it now.

Anakin Skywalker was thought to be the chosen one by the Jedi counsel. The prophecy said that the chosen one would bring balance to the force by destroying the sith. My question is how does one bring balance by destroying evil? Isn’t evil required to bring balance to good or even provide good with definition? There needs to be ying and yang right? Without yang all we have is a white circle. So once evil is destroyed, what provides good with balance?

So yeah, a Russian guy solve the Poincare Conjecture, go figure. I was betting on Yakov to solve this, but oh well. Still 6 more $1 million problems left to be solved. We should get right onto those. Story here
I feel a little better today than I did yesterday. Also, my commute took me 2 minutes longer than it did on Tuesday. Lastly, my mother called me twice last week, making her 43rd call of the year.
I could have also just written nothing and you’d be at the same level of understanding you were 10 seconds ago. Do you know how I felt yesterday? How long does my commute usually take? What was the reason it was longer? How often does my mother usually call? How many times did she call last year? These are all the questions you’d have to know the answers to in order to make sense of my three sentences, otherwise they are a waste of your time and you can’t do anything but respond with either “nice” or “that sucks”.
The reason I mention that is because I’m sick of hearing about the stock market’s daily activity on the radio.
“The NASDAQ closed up 8 points today to close at 2312 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed down 129 points to close at 11230. In Japan the Nikkei rose 85.14 points to close at 16,105.98.”
Anybody who can understand what that really means and why the markets moved that way today already knew that information and to the other 96% of the people listening, it’s gibberish and means nothing. It has become de facto for every radio business segment to mention the movement of the major indicies and they all do it, but it’s a complete waste of time. Why not save those 15 seconds and throw in another station identification plug?
Lastly, those that would care about stock-related issues understand that in investing the percentage difference is all that really matters but of course a majority of the time that’s not even mentioned. The sea level around Miami was 1/4 inch higher today than last Friday…. that’s a big deal, right?
I just read this report that states that woman are having a harder time delivering birth naturally. Apparently, of late there has been an increase for women requesting a servere to decrease to complete absence of painkilling stimulants. The reason is not due to the newly found advent of Scientology. It also is not attributed to the fact that painkillers may create an onset of schizophrenia, and also inhibits the effects of breastfeeding.
The biggest reason is because a great deal of women in the 21st century have been subjected to enormous amounts of internal pressure which occurs before inception. A new institution in woman’s sexual tenedecies, for sure one expects to hear shortly of these new practices.
Be sure to check with your girlfriends and wives first.
Just to update you guys, there are now twelve planets under the new scientific definition of the word planet. There are the eight classical planets and 4 “plutons,” which include Pluto of course.
