I refuse to vote for this new poll until Fred Thompson is added.
made this the other night, click to make it BIG.

Ok, I think that meeting the other Josh Wakefield would be a riot. However, he is in Alabama and its unlikely he will fly up here. So here is my proposal. Maybe with Aaron’s help, I can create a sidebar widget with both Josh’s faces, and a button to donate some money. The grand total will sit in an account until there is enough to buy a round trip plane ticket, rent a small car, and get a hotel for one or two nights. I can cover my own food. Anyway, I would travel down there and learn all about the other Josh Wakefield. I have a DV camcorder so I could record the whole thing.
Question, if you were able to easily donate to this, and you were able to see where all the money went, would you? It really would be quite interesting.
So WHJY, that horrible rock radio station, is having a 15 second video contest. Winner gets $10K. So some of the people I live with, who make all sorts of weirdo movies, decided to make one, and it came out pretty good. Its not too crazy cause they want the cash. Anyway, it made the Top 10, which is sweet, and voting is occurring now over at www.whjy.com. I think you have to be a member or something to vote. whatever, i don’t care. It’s video #1 on the top 10, has an image of someone in a kayak (my roommate).
enjoy the video!!
ps. the HJY website sucks, you have to click through a bunch of shit, then click on the Video 1 link under the image.
I’m definitely down for going to this for one or two nights.

Josh Wakefield at the Sun ‘n Fun Fly-In – April 17, 2007
Josh, could you tell us a little more about your new interest in mermaid-encrusted lawn chair boat planes?

So I was thinking of visiting Russia sometime this summer. It’s been a couple of years and I need a vacation. Of course initially I looked into flights going to Moscow, but then I had another thought. I always use the internet for directions and figured I’d consult my good friend maps.google.com. I must say I wan’t too impressed as this journey would leave me a little tired. Particularly step 12. But then again, I always do love a challenge: http://tinyurl.com/2cb3mq
Yay for European Asian noodle houses.
So yeah, I’m a big fan of noodles, pretty psyched to see these guys coming to the US starting in Boston:
Wagamama
My only worry is that the first and second locations are in really touristy areas. Yes it makes total sense from a traffic standpoint, but I’ll be happier once the JFK street location opens.
Yo. There is a Boston movie festival this weekend in Boston and Maggie’s good friend’s movie is in it. The movie has been in a bunch of movie festivals around the country AND Maggie is in it (as an extra, but she gets extra of the year credit at the end of the movie, for real). At any rate, the movie is playing at 7:45 on Saturday at the Somerville Theater and after that we are going to go booze it up. I haven’t seen you Boston folks in a while and I would love to see some people after the movie at least. Keep it in mind and let me know if you want to meet up that night.
So I’m trying to see if people are going to Rasta this year to gauge whether it is worth going or not. The party hasn’t been well hyped, no webpage or anything, just a one sentence unenthusiastic email, so I haven’t been too pumped. But hopefully some of you can bring up the excitement level with words of your intentions on going. So let’s generate some excitement, post if you’re going!
To the best of my knowledge it is May 5 from 2pm-infinity. If anyone else has any details plz share.
FIXED

sorry for the crappy quality, i used my camera phone, i hope you can read it. I found this in a bathroom in Harvard Square.
For those of you that missed Dave Argue’s “Stripper Bash” Birthday last Friday, here’s a quick recap of the highlights (I’ve kept it anonymous for the most part)-
(1) Crowdsurfing on the green line at 9pm in a completely packed train (I’ll admit to that one);
(2) All 22 of us getting in to Centerfolds for free without paying the $20 cover charge (thanks to that guy that works at the Phoenix);
(3) The girls in our group being more into the strippers and getting more private lap dances than the guys that came with (I got a whopping zero unfortunately);
(4) All of us spending way more money than intended at Centerfolds ($130? I didn’t drink OR get a lap dance!);
(5) A certain brother and girl he worked with getting booted out of the club because the girl he worked with touched the stripper when the two of them got a private dance together;
(6) 2am dinner at Chau Chow City- Highlights of that:
(a) We actually convinced them to serve us scorpion bowls (6 to be accurate);
(b) One of the girls we were with passed out and spent the meal face down on the table;
(c) We all discovered the joys of squab, and made it publicly known how much pleasure we derived from consuming its flesh;
(d) One of the guys we were with, in a furious attempt to make it to the bathroom, miserably failed in doing so and sprayed 4 people with vomit, getting puke in several people’s meals in the process;
(e) All of us swiftly exiting the restaurant;
(7) Taking an interesting cab ride back to Argue’s, someone yelled that one of the guys in the back seat whipped out his penis, cabbie almost pulls over to kick us out… in the Mass Pike tunnel;
(8) Returning to Argue’s apartment to find the guy and girl that got kicked out of the strip club on Argue’s porch (door was locked), girl was face down passed out on the porch;
(9) Carrying the girl to the roommate that wasn’t home’s bed, she was puking while being carried. Apparently she also puked in the cab on the ride there, and she puked in the roommate’s bed;
(10) Allegedly several other people puked, none of which I witnessed (damn!);
I think the reason the night turned so ridiculous was the following: Several people who don’t often drink decided this was going to be there big night to come to Boston and party. Couple that with the fact that they had never been to a strip club, and they immediately started pounding shots as soon as we got there to ease them into it. That it did. They were partying harder and buying more dances than the rest of us. Throw the standard hard drinkers into the mix, and everyone there was shooting for compelte debauchery.
As a gauge for how ridiculous it was, for those of you who know my buddy from home Booth, you know that he takes drunken ridiculousness to the next level. Well last Friday, he set out with the explicit goal of getting drunk and acting like a compelte misogynistic asshole at the strip club. He was probably around 5th or 6th in terms of rowdiness, there were several people that surpassed him. Yeah. We gotta do this again some time!
I’m taking this really awesome morality course, and I figured I’d share a little bit of it with you guys. Depending on how this post is received, I may make this type of post a periodical thing. Essentially, I’ll pose a question, or comment, that may or may not be controversial, and see what you guys think. Some things that I have read or discussed in the class that are thought provoking. To keep the posts relatively short and not clog up the homepage a la Josh, I’ll post the details in comments section.
