Last night, eric received an invitation to his 10 year high school reunion. I am anticipating a similar event from my high school. We had a discussion about whether we’d want to go, pretty up in the air. Beyond the curiousity factor, I’m not really sure why I would want to go. Has anyone here been to an event like this, and was it fun?
For lunch today I want to eat at Jone’s Good-Ass BBQ & Foot Massage, where they actually serve fried pies and beer-battered bacon. Check out their promotional video here.

Hmm…to follow up on the Phaic Tan destination…here are 11 actual great destinations that have something special to offer. I’m somewhat surprised at MSNBC for publishing this one…but I’m happy to see that these sorts of things aren’t taboo to report on
I have been enduring the daily grind for about two months since my last trip and am ready to start planning my next vacation. Southeast Asia seems to be an interesting and exotic place, so I began researching possible “off the beaten path” destinations. I came upon the little known nation of “Phaic Tăn” which seems to be an affordable yet up and coming eco-tourism destination. They have some interesting cultural idiosyncrancies, as exhibited in their local cuisine:
“During times of celebration such as New Year or the cessation of civil war, the Phaic Tanese love to serve a special duck dish called guoman. The bird is plucked, rolled in spices and slowly roasted over hot coals before being brought to the table and killed.”
