How does this happen?

Possible scenarios here? Please do take physics and time into account….

What confuses me is that fact that the keeper already has the ball and there is nobody else in the picture who this guy could be flipping over.

Could this actually happen?

The person flipping was running from right to left and had tripped/collided with a player outside the photo to the right.

    Amazing!

Wow, thanks Chris! That had not crossed my mind!

    ;)

It still doesn’t make sense to me given his height off the ground, the keeper has the ball fully in control and almost looks surprised, nobody in the picture…. Maybe my estimation of physics and knowledge of soccer are coming together wrong. Either way, not really worthy of serious discussion – it obviously is possible since there is a picture of it.

I’m going to go with a intentional flip to taunt the other player a second time…

Eh, given this guy has no running momentum to redirect upwards, I’d say it is easily possible. I found a bunch of football clips with people being flipped as high or higher. Although I must say sometimes it looks like it isn’t possible. A slight trip/collision of someone running full speed can really give them some height.

    Looks shooped to me.
